"So a date huh?” That voice shook Synn’s body. Rhage walked up behind her and quickly loved to her left, just brushing his body up against hers. Briefly she closed her eyes and then quickly opened them.
“Yeah, how did you—“
He tapped his ear and smiled. “I was wanting to talk with you.”
Synn started to walk towards the locker room and Rhage fell in step. “About?”
“Uhh—umm, I just wanted to see if you were busy, but I over heard that you will be.” Rhage ran his hands though his loose blonde hair and Synn wondered how it would feel in between her fingers. God, just to touch it, just once. Then her father’s voice crept back into her head.
“Pretty sure whatever you need to say you can say it now. I mean we’ve nothing in common really.”
“I beg to differ.” He gave her a sly glare and smiled.
Synn nodded on the obvious, “Besides the fact that your blood is in me at this time. Other than that what?” She came to a stop at the door.
“That’s why I wanted to talk.” He sounded very nervous and he kept roaming his stare around the gym and then back to her. “You know, to see if we did have anything in common.”
Synn hated to be rude but she needed to keep away from this brother as much as possible. “I’m sorry but given your way with the ladies I’d say that we have nothing in common.”
He went to speak but Synn just kept talking, “And further more, you wouldn’t like me. I’m not promiscuous and I don’t do casual sex so if that’s what’s on your agenda as ‘talking’ then you’ve just helped the wrong post-trans.” Without waiting for a response Synn went into the locker room and prayed to the Scribe Virgin that he not follow her.
Rhage stood there at the door hurt and pissed off. How dare she speak to him that way? Surely she must have known that he’d never given his vein to anyone. It was never in him to. But with her it was different. He had to help her. He had to have that connection with her.
Well, buddy, this is the price you pay when you fuck around. You finally found someone that you’re interested. Problem is you let your dick do so much talking in the past that when you lips move no one wants to listen.
Rhage would have said shut up but that would have looked a bit awkward seeing as that he was still standing at the door that had just been shut in his face. His first instinct was to follow in after her. His hand was on the door but the locker room across the way opened and the trainees came out. Rhage started down to the office and sat down at the monitors. If he couldn’t follow her from the gym to the bus he’d watch her. Leaning back in the large leather chair he waited.
Synn inched the door open and noticed that he was gone. With a deep breath she made her way to the outside. The bus was gone.
“Shit!” She spat. “How in the world did I…?”
Turning around to walk back in she met Rhage. Dressed in all black. Leather duster, leather pants, black tee and shit-kickers. She too noticed the leather holster across his chest. His daggers she figured. Crossing his arms over his chest Rhage smiled. “Need a ride?”
Oh that voice. It did something to her body. Her hands shook and she felt her knees failing. Fucking traitors. She furrowed her eyebrows and gave him a stare that made him…smile? Damn and that was supposed to make him leave her alone.
“You’re so cute when you’re mad. Damn I love that!” He placed a hand over his smile and glanced down only to look at back up at her.
“I’m so freakin glad that you’re amused.” She said with a bite and then without touching him she went back in.
He followed.
“Hey, I’m leaving now and you need a ride so stop being so…”
“So what?” She turned around which stopped him on his heels. “So distant. Well I’m sorry that I don’t find your sense of humor charming. I thank you again for helping me with my transition and I’ll find a way to repay you but—“
“And you going to dinner with me will repay me in full.” He towered over her as the words came out of his mouth. Then he smiled as if he’d won some great victory.
Synn did not see that coming at all. “Dinner? With you? No, how about I—I uhh.” What the hells else could she do besides dinner? She had to think this one through.
“Sorry.” He shook his head and waved his hand. “But that’s the deal take it or be forever in my debt.” He inclined his head and wiggled his eyebrows playfully. Synn was in no mood to smile or find his proposition in any way amusing. She huffed and mulled it over coming up with the only end result.
"Okay,” She sighed and crossed her arms over her chest. “When?”
Rhage’s eyes went right to her chest and he caught notice of how firm her breast looked in that navy cashmere sweater. Then his eyes lowered to her very low riding jeans. Her waist was so smooth and it glowed against the light behind him. The temptation the put his arms around her and feel her warm body shudder under his had him fumbling with the words in his head.
“Hello?” Synn snapped her fingers. “Hey!” She felt like smiling as he checked her out but she had to keep telling herself that he was no good for her.
“Huh?” Rhage snapped back to attention, “Oh, yeah, right, well how about night after tomorrow? Seeing as that you’re busy tomorrow.”
“I have training.” She placed her hand on her hips and started to tap her foot.
“I can get you out of that.” He smiled devilishly.
“No offense, but I take my training seriously. I’ve fought to get this far and I’m not letting you interfere with that. You want dinner? Pick a night that I’m not here.”
Rhage felt a rush at how she talked to him. She as firm in her words and he wondered if she was so dominating in bed or would she submit to him?
“Well?”
Nah, he laughed to himself. She’d fight him the entire time. Good, he said to himself.
“I’ll pick you up Saturday after the sun goes down.” He saw lips start to move and he did exactly as she had earlier, “And don’t make any excuses, I’ll be there so be dressed and ready.” His voice changed and Synn even though it was meant to scare her she was more intrigued as to why she wasn’t.
“How should I be dressed?”
I’d prefer you naked. “You can wear something similar to what you have on now.” He started to walk towards the garage, “Now I think you might want to come on. Pretty sure you’d hate to stay here during the day.” He glanced over his shoulder and Synn could see his smile. “Especially with me hanging around. What with me being such a reckless dick and all.”
Synn stopped. She hadn’t been that mean towards him. Had she? No. She was merely protecting herself from being sucked into being another notch on his leathers. Because the way he moved towards the purple GTO she figured he could move just a good between those damn soft sheets upstairs in that room of his. A breeze hit her face and she was ever-so thankful. She needed the quick cool down. And then she hurried to the car as the engine revved, echoing around her.
